Hi everyone,
Due to a surge in demand for PDIs, we’ve enacted a PDI waitlist on the Developer Site. Our engineering teams are working to increase capacity (current speeds are adding hundreds of PDIs per day) across our PDI infrastructure. Once the waitlist has been cleared, we plan to have more PDIs available for all other users. If you’re currently on the waitlist, please expect it to be a few days before you can get access to a new PDI.
Since its debut in the Quebec release, ServiceNow’s App Engine Studio has grown significantly in scope and magnitude. Not only has it taken legacy capabilities and refined them, like the Table and Catalog Builders, but has continuously added new players to the game, like Templates and usage of the Instance Pipeline for deployment.
As “AES” nears its 4th release, we wanted to highlight the updates and new features you can anticipate in the Tokyo version of ServiceNow!
Starting the weekend of September 9th, Developer Site users may have noticed one of two issues affecting their ability to use or request personal developer instances (PDIs): (1) the Developer Site was showing no PDIs were available and (2) some PDIs were erroneously showing as offline. Both of these issues have been escalated to engineering and are being investigated. Read on to understand what is happening and what you can do next.

Story time As some of you know, I was not always in tech. For the first five years of my career after school, I was working in student affairs and student housing at a university. Right before I joined my first tech-related job, my first dive into automation was when I worked as a contract manager. Yep, that’s right, my plunge into tech started with the automation of my day-to-day Excel spreadsheets.
If you’re an existing Personal Developer Instance (PDI) user, you probably noticed we recently shipped a new change to disable sending and receiving emails on PDIs. Read on to learn more about what this means for you.
Why are we making this change?
PDIs are being used to send high levels of email spam. While we actively monitor all PDIs for suspicious activity and shut down PDIs that violate our policies, we’ve found that accidental spam activity is a growing problem.
